Dear Family and Friends
,
WORD
“Jesus answered, You say rightly that I am a King . For this cause I was born, and…have come into this world.” (John 18:37). “He made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, coming in the likeness of men”. (Phil.2:7)
WISDOM
People use outside adornments, like a crown, to point to inner realities, such as authority. Jesus, a true King from all eternity, was born without such adornments. Through the gift of faith that He has given to us, we recognize His Kingship, become heirs of the Kingdom with Him, are seated with Him in the heavenlies, and will receive from Him an eternal crown. Let’s enjoy the “inner adornment” of His Presence in us this Christmas.

WIT
Here’s a song with a real message, sung to the tune “Jingle Bells

“J-O-Y,  J-O-Y,  This is what it means,
Jesus first, You are last, and Others in between…”        (repeat)

WELLSPRING
“Enjoying Haiku Insight-Out”

Ship moored in the bay,
Rocking back and forth at night,
On its water bed.

A WORK of the Lord in Japan.

The city of Sapporo, where CFN-Japan Bible School is located, has a “Chocolate Factory” with a coffee shop that is especially busy around the end of the year. Seated year round is a life-size statue of Abraham Lincoln, who sits on a bench and welcomes visitors, including a CFNJ guest speaker whom we brought.

Lincoln didn’t respond to my greetings, (above)  but the people in the coffee shop (behind Lincoln), with whom I shared the Good News of Jesus, did listen. For some it was the beginning of their interest in Jesus, and for others is was the day that they recognized His Kingship over their lives, and began a “new walk” in Him. Together with you, it is our privilege to allow the Holy Spirit to work through us in our normal daily contacts.

Standing together with you looking to the Lord,

Charles and Dianne Gyurko
